142 guns turned in and over 2000 rounds during gun amnestyey month

Georgetown : as of Wednesday September 30, 2015, the following firearms and ammunition have been handed in by citizens in response to the firearm amnesty.

‘A’ Division (Georgetown/East Bank Demerara)

1,192 rounds 7.62×39 ammunition.

Three (3) .22 pistols and three (3) magazines along with 78 rounds .22 ammunition.

Three (3) shotguns with twenty three (23) cartridges.

One (1) 9 mm Luger pistol with nine (9) matching rounds.

Four (4) .32 pistols along with one (1) magazine and 347 matching rounds.

Three (3) air rifles

One (1) .25 pistol and six (6) rounds.

One (1) .22 revolver

One (1) .38 revolver and 20 rounds

One (1) .357 revolver

‘C’ Division (East Coast Demerara)

Two (2) air rifles

Three (3) 9mm spent shells

 

‘D’ Division (West Demerara/East Bank Essequibo)

 

One (1) air rifle 

One (1) 9mm magazine.

Three (3) 16 gauge shotgun cartridges.

Three (3) 20 gauge shotgun cartridges.

 

 ‘E’ Division (Linden/Kwakwani)

One (1) improvised shotgun
