East Coast Demerara : The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred last night on the Railway Embankment at Strathspey, ECD, and which resulted in the death of Limpasco Corlette, 30 years of Bladen Hall, ECD.
Investigations revealed that the driver of motor car PKK 8430 with occupant Dennis Solomon, 16 years of Golden Grove, ECD, was proceeding along the Embankment when the vehicle collided with a heap of stone on the roadway. As a result the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck down Limpasco Corlette who was walking along the roadway.
Limpasco Corlette and Dennis Solomon received injuries and were taken to the GPHC where Corlette was pronounced DOA while Solomon was treated and sent away.
The driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations
