$17,000 in items stolen from local government agency

Port-of-Spain: Several employees of the Siparia Regional Corporation, a local government administration in south Trinidad, are being questioned by police after almost than $17,000 in missing tools and electrical equipment from the Organisation of Disaster Preparedness Department were stolen

The items include a Dell computer and accessories, a flashlight, a digital camera and accessories, a laser pointer and other tools.

They were all secured at the building on March 4th by a worker, Angelo Bissesarsingh who returned on March 14th to find the items missing.

A report was made to the Siparia police who are continuing inquiries.
