Georgetown: The 10th CARIB Soca Monarch is here announcing the arrival of Mashramani in Guyana.
The prizes in this year's competition will be $1.5 Million for the first prize, $500,000 for the second place, $250,000 for the third place, $100,000 for the fourth place and the best new corner will receive $100,000.
“We are delighted to once again kick off this celebratory period in our country with great talented entertainers who are promising to delight and excite us with their fiery soca music… This year we have eliminated the quarter-finals and will be hosting the Semi-finals in Berbice on Saturday February 8th and the grand Finals on February 15th, 2014.” Public Relations Officer, Dharshanie Yusuf noted.
The 18 semi finalists include: Timeka Sinclair, Shellon Garraway, Jamal Gittens, Ernesta Nelson, Levar Gittens, Quacy Coates, Compton Boyce, Natoya London, Melissa Roberts, Abigail James, Colbert Dublin, Kemmyanna Garnett, Jonathan King, Roger Bowen, Orlando Johashen, Kwesi Edmond, Clifton Adolphus, Ivlaw Maxwell and Jumo Primo.
“I am also pleased to announce that we will be hosting the Digicel's People's Choice Award and the winner will receive a handsome monetary prize. Additionally, to further share the fun-ship of CARIB we have recruited our very own CARIB Brand Ambassador, KES to thrill revelers along-side our local artistes,” she explained.
