$188M contract signed for Region Five roads

 The Community Roads Improvement Project (CRIP) signed a contract valued $188M to facilitate upgrade of 14 old housing scheme  roads.

CRIP’s main aim is to improve access to housing, education, health, and other social infrastructure and caters for the construction of 204 roads.
B and J Civil Works was awarded the contract for the roads in Bath- Woodley Park.
 Its project manager Tyronne Comacho signed along with Project Coordinator Karen Roopchand, NDC chairman, Cecil Ramdatt and Region Five Chairman Harrinarine Baldeo at a ceremony at the Bath market in the presence of Minister of Housing and Water Irfaan Ali.

Minister Ali said that CRIP is a people’s project as they have worked assiduously, therefore everyone should be involved. The project will benefit over 13,000 Region Five residents.
