Georgetown: The 2013 National Budget presentation will take place in the National Assembly today, and Finance Minister Dr. Ashni Singh, is hopeful that the opposition will see the merits in the budget and judge it accordingly.
Minister Singh said the budget would be accepted by the National Assembly once the combined opposition critiques the budget on what it offers, and not on preconceived political motivation.
He is convicted that Government is committed to improving the national collective well being and for creating the conditions for individual upliftment and betterment.
With this conviction in mind, the Finance Minister said that a right-minded and objective observer, commentator or participator in the process will find much in budget 2013 to support.
He expressed confidence that the budget will bring tremendous positive advantage and opportunity to Guyanese.
