Mahaica : Last night at around 11:00pm Omadat Persaud called “Vicky”, 27 years, of Supply, Mahaica, was shot and killed during an armed robbery at his home by three men, two of whom were armed with firearms.
Investigations revealed that Yogendra Naipaul, 38 years, his wife Omadai Naipaul, 38 years, and their son and daughter were outside of the home when they were confronted by the armed men.
The perpetrators took them into building where they also held up Omadat Persaud and who was shot to his head in the process.
The armed men took away a quantity of jewellery and a sum of US currency and escaped.
