Twenty passengers travelling to Barbados on a Caribbean Airlines flight from Jamaica were arrested at the Grantley Adams International Airport on Wednesday night on suspicion of swallowing drugs.
They were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital(QEH) for test and the safe extraction of the drug. According to a source, 18 of the passengers arrested were Jamaicans and two, Barbadians.
Ten of them had already passed out the drugs swallowed, while two,whose packages of drugs had deteriorated on the way to Barbados where admitted to the QEH as patients with complications.
