Bridgetown.
Chief executive officer of Redjet has called on Minister of International Transport, George Hutson. to explain the status of its route expansion and operation in Barbados.
According to Burns, what the ministry indicated to the airline and what had been stated recently in public by the minister are conflicting.
"We want clarity, he needs to be clear as what he said recently conflicts with the letter of permission" said Burns.
Last week Hutson said that Redjet was not originally intended to be a carrier into the smaller islands and was in fact , supposed to open up opportunities for travel into Central America and the larger Caribbean countries.
Burns said the issue is a stumbling block to the low cost carrier that has been designated as the airline of Barbados.
