East Bank Essequibo –The St. Lawrence medical outpost at Hubu, East Bank Essequibo will soon be moved to a spanking new facility.
According to Regional Health Officer (RHO), Dr. Ravindranth Persaud, construction of the $4.2M facility will begin soon after the tender has been awarded in two weeks.
Dr. Persaud indicated that throughout the 22 health centres in Region Three, Essequibo Islands/West Demerara, ways are being sought on how best to improve services. He said that within another three weeks a mammoth centre is expected to be commissioned at Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo, that will, in addition to regular clinic services, offer dental and ophthalmology services.
