Port-of-Spain: The High Court continues to select jurors today for the sedition trial of Jamaat al Muslimeen leader Imam Yasin Abu Bakr.
A total of 720 prospective jurors were summoned for possible selection. Only nine will be chosen as jurors to hear the case, with five as alternates.
Bakr was not in court for the start of the matter. One of his wives presented the court with a medical certificate explaining his absence.
The state is represented by Senior Counsel Dana Seetahal while British Queen's Counsel Martin Hick is leading the Jamaat leader's defence.
