$74 Million resurfaced South Dakota track has minor defects.

Soesdyke Linden Highway : Prime Minister Samuel Hinds did the honours of cutting the ribbon to  re-opened the resurfaced South Dakota circuit at the GRM&SC meet yesterday. The Prime Minister said, the Government has lived up to their commitment in injecting $40 million of the $74 million required to get the  work done on the track.

However competitors were seen complaining about a spot on the track, the second turn from the club house that began to loose and was a threat to drivers and riders.

Around that same turn, two super bike riders collided.

Dipcon Engineering Services did the resurfacing on the track.

The South Dakota Racing Track was opened in 1954 and one of the founder members Patrick Holder told TrakkerNews that this is the second time the track was recapped, the first in 1969.
