Castries, St Lucia.
Striking civil servants in St Lucia say they are prepared to intensify their industrial action.
The warning comes even as the Government says it has received a letter indicating that the civil servants are prepared to return to the negotiating table to discuss their wage dispute.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of the Public Service, Phillip Dalson, told the press that the Government wants striking civil servants to return to their jobs before any talks could begin.
Dalson says the Government’s negotiating team is available to meet with the striking workers on Monday and is awaiting a response from the Civil Service Association ( CSA).
