Port of Spain; This entire holiday weekend in Trinidad and Tobago is dedicated to the observance of religious festivities. The celebration of Easter as well as Spiritual Baptist Shouter Liberation Day takes the forefront as the country celebrates this long weekend. Beginning on Friday and Ending Monday the country is highly active with the Celebration of the death and resurrection of Christ, while the Spiritual Baptist commemorate their Liberation.
Gloria Saturday and Spiritual Baptiste Liberation Day is being celebrated on the same day this year. Trinidad is a cosmopolitian country so occasions like this comes as no surprise and nor does it cause conflict. Each sect will do their individual ritual according to tradition and everything will be well worth the effort. It is also a time for the country to reflect and appreciate where they are as a people.
