Georgetown : Amerindian Leaders who were attending the 7th National Toshaos Council (NTC) meeting at the Guyana International Conference Centre (GICC), Liliendaal, were presented with spectacles.
During the five-day event, eye screening was done and it was determined that 99 of them needed spectacles.
During a brief handing over ceremony, Health Minister Beri Ramsaran assured the Toshaos and other leaders that the ministry, in collaboration with the Amerindian Affairs Ministry will be conducting more medical outreaches in their communities.
