Trinidad on high alert for more flooding

TRINIDAD and Tobago is on "high alert" as more rain is expected later today and tomorrow, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar said today. Persad-Bissessar made the statement today as she addressed members of the media about the government’s plans to deal with reports of widespread flooding across the country. Several communities were under water as a result of heavy rainfall yesterday. Persad-Bissessar said according to the Meteorological Services more rain is expected later today and tomorrow and because of this all relief services would be put on "high alert".
