Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr. Roger Luncheon today says cabinet gives it’s no objection to the tune of 188 million dollars. The Public works sector was given 88.9 million dollars for the repairs of traffic light and five culverts at region 9. Fifty six million dollars was budgeted for the extension of the Georgetown Magistrates court. In the education sector 26.8 million dollars was set aside for the purchase of school uniforms that will be given to children in regions 1,7,8 and 9 for the new school year free of cost. 3.5 million US dollars will be spent on the Cheddi Jagan International Airport to modernize the air traffic network which is schedule to be completed by February 2011.
