Caribbean Trakker representative plunged to the ground after rapid sounds of what appears to be gun shots rang out for at least three minutes in the vicinity of Cummings Lodge just behind the University of Guyana. Residents in the nearby areas scampered and closed doors pondering what was happening.
Unconfirmed reports is that a car and a Mini Bus passed by and a shoot out started between civilians leaving about three people confirmed dead and several others injured. After the sounds of gunshots fifteen minutes later the sounds of siren were herd indicating that the police were in the area giving a sign of relief to the neighborhood, but curious residents were eager to find out what was happening and the then there was another set of sirens this time it was ambulances.
The police were in several vehicles traversing the area and keeping people off the street looking as though there were looking for somebody.
The area is dark and only two main roads in the housing scheme, both in a deplorable state.
