One of six suspects charged for Bartica Double Murder

Rawle Newton was charged today for the murder of two gold dealers and two separate charges for armed robberies.

Four other persons including a police rank Marlon Letlow and a former immigration officer Linden Scotland were charged in comforting and assisting Newton knowing he had committed the murders.

Newton was remanded by acting chief magistrate Priya Beharry until October 27th while Letlow and Scotland will return to Bartica court on October 4th 2010.

Ramdeo Deonarine and Jainarine Raghobar were found on September 5th 2010 in a house at Bartica bounded with their throats slit.
