The Alliance for Change today unleashed yet another heavy political campaign notice, as the opposition party seeks support for next year’s election. The AFC stated, that there are facts which the current PPP/C Government continue to hide from the guyanese people.
These the party says include, 6 billion Guyana dollars of NIS funds to the troubled CLICO(GUYANA) without public knowledge.
The same CLICO, the party added illegally used millions of local funds to invest in sub-prime property overseas under the PPP/C’s watch.
Policy holders are yet to get their monies from the collapsed insurance company, when according to the opposition party, the political affliates of
the Jagdeo government received theirs, sanctioned by the PPP/C.
The National Assembly’s work, investigating the operations of CLICO in a timely manner was stifled by the Government, according to the AFC.
The party therefore challenges the President to be true to his promise, that policy holders will receive their money.
