Twister tears apart homes

A strange weather pattern, believed to be a twister, has removed the roofing of nine homes in Cumana village today.
The "twister" occurred around 2.30 this morning residents of Cumana have said.
The violent winds removed the roof of nine homes which house 17 people.
Councillor for the area Martin "Terry" Rondon has slammed the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management for its slow response to the "disaster".
Rondon is calling for an emergency shelter to be set up in the Toco area to deal with such disasters instead of awaiting assistance from Sangre Grande.
