SHARMA MAY SOON TRAVEL FOR OVERSEAS TREATMENT

It is possible that within the next 48 hours, embattled leader of the Justice For All Party, Cn Sharma may be medevac to Trinidad, where he is expected to undergo emergency treatment for his heart, which local doctors here in Guyana are unable to carry out.

Speaking to Caribbean Trakker from his hospital bed, Cn Sharma said that he was told by a high ranking Government official today that the judge in his case will be contacted in an effort to surrender his passport. When asked about the Caribbean Heart Institute, Sharma said that  it makes no sense what is happening and that the institute may have been instructed not to treat him, a clear case of victimization, he added.

Sharma seemed to be in high spirits when CT visited, but doctors said that there is impending danger to his heart and his condition is not stable. The TV personality explained that some people are of the opinion that his illness is just a ploy to avoid the court date, but medical evidence do not lie. He lauded the efforts of nurses and doctors at the private hospital saying that if it was not for their treatment, he would have suffered a stroke or even succumbed.
