I do not scare easy!
This was the statement made by acting Prime Minister Errol McLeod in response to protest action by the Public Service Association (PSA) and other trade unions yesterday.
Hundreds of public servants marched from the Eric Williams Financial Complex in Port of Spain to the Prime Minister’s St Clair office yesterday in an attempt to deliver a letter calling for outstanding wage negotiations to be settled.
However McLeod, a former labour leader, today told members of the media that he has the blood of true labour leaders running through his veins and would not be easily scared into making a rash decision.
McLeod is the country’s substantive Labour Minister.
