Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has returned home after a nine-day trip to the United States.
Persad-Bissessar arrived at Piarco International Airport on board a Caribbean Airline’s flight around 6 a.m. today.
She left this country on September 20 and addressed the United Nations General Assembly on Monday.
"Today I return to my beloved nation, excited by the many conversations I have had with other world leaders, and warmed by the love shared by all the Trinbagonians I met on this trip. I love you T&T," Persad-Bissessar posted on her facebook status today.
Labour Minister Errol McLeod acted as Prime Minister in Persad-Bissessar’s absence.
