Back to Basics Will Give Earth More Time – GNBS

Second in charge of the Guyana National Bureau of Standards Evadnie Benfield this afternoon said her organization has moved to notify businesses across the country to use paper bags instead of plastics whenever dealing with packages for customers.
According to the Bureau’s spokeswoman this will help to reduce the effects of global warming since plastics are non-biodegradable and hazardous to the environment.
Georgetown the capital city is faced with an environmental problem since the increasing amount of plastics are left to be buried filling up existing dump sites creating havoc in  the city.
