Minister of Tourism Maniram Prashad speaking at the Opening of GuyExpo 2010 said over the years with the promotion of Guyana’s largest Exposition GuyExpo, there has been an improved trade and investment opportunities. He pointed out that with this year’s theme ‘Expanding investment in a sustainable environment” is timely with a low carbon economy, something that the Guyana Government has been promoting the latest being the Amaila Falls Hydro Project that will act as a catalyst to boost the manufacturing and production capacity by providing affordable, adequate, sustainable, renewable and reliable energy for Guyana.
The Minister reiterated that GuyExpo is the ideal Market and meeting place to showcase Guyanese creativity, talent, skills and services which provide a platform for businesses and consumers to network and negotiate.
