Fireworks expected in Parliament today

Today’s sitting of the Lower House which kicks off in a few minutes, is expected to be an exciting affair.

Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar is expected to address the Parliament about proposed legislation to prevent another Clico fiasco.

Justice Minister Herbert Volney is expected to apologise for accusations he leveled against Chief Justice Ivor Archie during the budget debate. And Opposition MP Colm Imbert is scheduled to ask that Volney be taken before the Parliament’s Privileges Committee.
