The Nigerian Association of Guyana today presented three (3) gifts items to the mothers of the first three babies that were born today, October 1, 2010. This presentation was made by the Association’s president and other executive members as part of their planned activities in observance of their 50th Independence Anniversary Celebration.
The three mothers who received the gift items were Mahaidai Sankar, Natoya Williams and Natasha Watson. The first two mothers gave birth to boy babies and the last, a girl.
The Association’s representatives said that the presentation represents its formal way of saying thanks to the entire Guyanese people for the hospitality, friendship, love, respect and understanding demonstrated toward the community.
The mothers, Sis. M. Arjune, Senior Departmental Supervisor and Management of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation thanked the Nigerian Association for the kind gesture.
