Road Fatalities Climbing – Traffic Department increase campaign

The Traffic Department today stepped up their campaign against motorist in the wake of the increased road fatalities. Over the last weekend three persons lost their lives at the hands of reckless drivers.
49 year old Mohan Lall of Windsor Castle a peddle cyclist was struck down by a Motor Lorry GEE 6177 driven by Bharrat Persaud Saturday October 02, 2010. He died this morning at the Georgetown Hospital.

Ajodha Manniram age 52 of Hampton Court,Essequibo was hit down on Sunday October 03,2010 by a speeding car driven by Julio Brumell. Manniram died at Suddie Hospital.
45 year old peddle cyclist Sewdat Laknauth of 59 village Berbice died as a result of an accident on Saturday October 02, 2010 at Number 62 village Berbice. He died before receiving medical attention at the Skeldon Hospital.
