Crime Chief Seelal Persaud , today confirmed that one of the slain men in Monday night’s bloodbath in Stone Avenue, Patrick Goodluck has a criminal record and was a suspect in the execution of 31 year old Mark Ceasar called ‘Lil Mark’ Friday night in Charlestown. The authorities say that Goodluck was charged twice for robbery and murder and was being sought by the police for questioning in Friday’s killing. One of Goodluck’s accomplice was arrested Saturday last. It is believed that the dead man was part of a gang that carried out the attack and Monday night’s killing was a retaliation. Police are now examining the theory that since the Cummings Lodge shooting where 5 people died including a 5 year old boy, these attacks have continued with impunity, leaving a trail of unanswered questions. The initial execution of Steve Jupiter and others a few week ago reportedly revolved around the disappearance of a large quantity of cocaine worth millions. The execution of Mark Ceasar was said to be connected to that killing. How many more are involved in this war, and what might be their next move will be the center of the police’s investigation. Meanwhile, the seemingly professional gunmen armed with high powered rifles are still out there.
