Cabinet Secretary Dr. Roger Luncheon today disclosed that Cabinet has given its green light for the construction of a greenheart revetment at Craig on the East Bank of Demerara to a sum of 64 million dollars. This area was affected by flooding due to over topping in recent spring tides.
Contracts were also given its no objection for several areas at Corentyne, Berbice to the tune of 72 million dollars for the installation of street lights.
The security sector was given 35.8 million dollars for the construction of an ammunition dump at Camp Brooms on the Soesdyke Linden Highway.
An access bridge will be constructed at Parthfaith Harmony housing scheme on the West Bank of Demerara to a cost of 80 million dollars.
