678 persons will receive Bronze, Silver and Gold awards – President’s youth awards

 The President Youth Award (PYARG) will be celebrating its 12th Anniversary and 678 persons from all ten administrative regions of Guyana will receive Gold, Silver and Bronze awards at ceremony this Saturday November 13th 2010 at the National Cultural Centre.

The International Award for Young People is a development of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, which was introduced in Britain in 1956. Guyana adopted and launched the programme on October 3, 1998, now called the Presidents Youth Award: Republic of Guyana (PYARG).
Patron president Bharrat Jagdeo will deliver the feature address and a presentation by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Dr. Frank Anthony.
