President inspects paving of National Stadium tarmac works.

The long awaited paving of the tarmac at Guyana’s lone stadium is presently on-going at Providence. Yesterday President Bharrat Jagdeo while attending the National school’s track and field event took time out to visit the $103M GD project.

The tarmac is said to accommodate approximately 4000 vehicle during events at the stadium and also can be used for other sport disciplines such as basketball, volleyball and lawn tennis.
DIPCON Engineering Services, a Trinidadian Company was awarded the contract in August for paving of the stadium’s tarmac.
