President Bharrat Jagdeo who has repeatedly over the past months said he is not interested in a third term may very well leave his homeland after demitting office next year when his five year constitutional term comes to an end.
This speculation raised after Information out of the Guyana Official Gazette stated that the House located at 135 Goedverwagting on the East Coast of Demerara owned by the Guyanese President was sold to Trinidadian Desmond Ross for $120 million GYD.
Ross is the CEO of Ross Advertising Agency in West Moorings, Port of Spain,
Trinidad.
The Goedverwagting home was vacant to date since it was built a few years ago.
When this information reached the streets of Georgetown comments from some people said the President sold his house maybe to migrate or go back to his home village Unity after retirement while others claimed that he is looking not for a third term but an extension of his second term for another two years similar to what President Desmond Hoyte did in 1990 and stays in State house
