With help from the heavy early morning showers and the persistent efforts of fire fighters and city council workers, the Mandela dump site fire is finally under control. However heavy smoke still engulfed the immediate environs of the dump site, causing serious health complications to residents. The Mayor Hamilton Greene, has moved to the Ministry of Health to deploy workers in the area. People with respiratory problems and small children were advised to leave until the situation is fully under control.
