Security officers planning walk-out of ‘unsafe’ jobs

If a Board of Directors is not appointed for the State-owned National Maintenance, Training and Security company (MTS) by next week Tuesday, security officers will walk off the job at facilities deemed to be not Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) compliant.
This was the statement made today by Curtis Robinson, the first vice president of the Estate Police Association (EPA).
Robinson said a Board has not been approved at MTS while other lesser State owned companies had Boards instituted. Robinson referred to the Boxing Board as an example of this.
Robinson said for the past six months the MTS has been unable to effectively operate because no Board is in place.
