Agriculture Minister Robert Persaud says “we are prepared”, after Hydromet office predicts a wet Christmas

 The Hydro- meteorological office has predicted heavy rains in the month of December and Minister of Agriculture, Robert Persaud reviewed the various components of the flood control and water management system that would be employed during the rainy season. 

Cabinet Secretary Dr. Roger Luncheon yesterday briefing the media said, attention has been directed to the water conservancies, outfalls, the state of preparedness of mechanical training systems (pumps, and electrical and mechanical supplies) and the integrity of the sluices and kokers and Agriculture Minister Robert Persaud signaled his readiness.
