Georgetown : 18 year old Loretta Persaud also known as Stephanie of Unity Village, Mahaica who went missing Wednesday last was found on South Road, Georgetown, a few blocks from the Botanical Gardens this morning. She is presently at the Brickdam Police Station with investigators.
An official report from the Guyana police force last night stated that Persaud left her home at about 9:30 on Wednesday last for computer classes at Middle Street, Georgetown, and has not returned home since.
During yesterday a relative received text messages demanding a ransom of $300,000.00 for her safe return. TrakkerNews had reported $1M ransom information received from Loretta’s uncle who still maintains that the abductors asked for $1M.
A text message had asked for the money to be delivered at the Botanical Gardens and a close source to the family said the police accompany the teen relatives in a car to the location but did not allowed them to come out of the car.
