Georgetown- Two accident victims in the recent deadly mishap that left two youngsters dead are still in harms way as doctors continue to keep them stable at the Georgetown Hospital. Relatives are praying for their speedy recovery since most of the injuries are life threatening and can even leave them maimed for life. 13-year-old Zahir Yassin suffered a broken collar bone and fractures to his ribs. 34-year-old Asif Hack, the driver and owner of the vehicle involved in the accident sustained injuries to his neck and spine. Fazil Ali, 11, of Lusignan Grass Field, East Coast Demerara (ECD) is said to be in a stable condition. 10-year-old Sameer Shamsuddin of Cane Grove, ECD, is still in a critical condition at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the GPHC. According to relatives he has not regained consciousness.
Colin Anthony Williams 15, called Khalid or Omar of Sandy Babb Street, Kitty and Raheem Xavier 12, of Callender Street, Albouystown, were killed last Sunday and six others injured when the vehicle they were in slammed into a utility pole while negotiating a turn at Airy Hall Mahaicony.
