Georgetown : The Alliance For Change extends best wishes to all Guyanese, especially to our Hindu brothers and sisters on the festive occasion of Deepavali.
The Alliance For Change in their Deepavali message says the occasion or the festival of lights is essentially a celebration of the victory that is won when the dark forces of oppression and tyranny are overwhelmed and illuminated by the salutary efforts of transformation and change. Such transformation is considered by Hindus as the central feature of Bhagwan Ram’s work on earth.
The AFC tells the Guyanese public “ while partaking in the usual activities associated with the celebration of Deepavali, remember the essential import of this festival.
The Guyanese society and polity is presently situated at a juncture where she craves a transformation and change which would see her being emancipated from a regime of excess and corruption.
A dark cloud of excess and corruption hovers over the Guyanese society aggrandizing a small cabal while the great mass of Guyanese are condemned to poverty and underdevelopment.
All Guyanese
will have to become engaged in this movement to alter and uplift the current trajectory of our beloved land.
