Port-of-Spain: The Neal and Massy Trinidad All Stars and the Katezenjammers Steel Orchestra of Tobago have for the 2nd consecutive year, won the National Panorama Large Band and Medium Band titles for 2012 respectively.
Twenty-four bands competed at the national finals Saturday evening.
Pantrinbago President Keith Diaz officially opened the 50th finals by apologising for the late start and wishing all 24 bands competing in both the medium and large band categories a great show.
The Sangre Grande Cordettes were the first band to grace the stage in the medium category.
Each band seemed to have players ranging from the young to the old.
The Panorama Final was officially dedicated to the late musician and national awardee Pat Bishop and The Curepe Scherzando paid special tribute to her.
The Republic Bank Exodus and Phase 11 Pan Groove were one of many bands which chose to play tunes dedicate to the life and contribution of Bishop.
The competition was tight and in the medium band category four points separated two bands from Tobago for the top spots.
It was eventually claimed by Katzanjammer, which amassed 288 points playing "This is Bachannal".
Katzenjammers had tied in 2011 with Valley Harps to claim the top spot.
NLCB Bucconers were second with their tune vibes, sung by Destra Garcia.
In the large band category the anticipation was to see if Neal and Massy Trinidad All Stars could repeat their win from 2011.
Phase Two Pan Groove came in second with their 274 points and the Trinidad All Stars from East Port-of-Spain would do it again copping the National Panorama Title with 279 points
with their tune "Play yuh self" sung by calypsonian Crazy.
