Ambrose joins Combined Campuses Colleges

Bridetown.

Former West Indies fast bowler Curtly Ambrose has joined the coaching staff of the Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC).

The announcement was make yesterday at the 3Ws Oval by Principal of the Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies (UWI), Sir Hilary Beckles.

Ambrose, has been hired to provide cricketing direction to the CCC squad taking part in the regional first-class competion but all cricket students attending any campus within the region will benefit from his vast  knowledge of the game.

Sir Hilary told the press he was extending a royal welcome to a man who exuded excellence on the cricket field and who he felt would bring that same level of excellence to the CCC.

Ambrose said he was commissioned  fully by CCC and was fully committed to developing their bowlers and batsmen, as he also knew something about batting.

"This team has some talented players and I know we can win games at the regional level and even go on to win the regional championship. I want to help develop a team of winners, I want to be part of a winning team with a winnng culture", Ambrose said.

His first assignment will be against his home side, the Leeward Islands tomorrow at the 3Ws Oval.
