Hamsphire,Berbice: Four persons including two nurses are this morning out of danger after being treated for injuries sustained in an accident.
Late yesterday afternoon an ambulance from the New Amsterdam Hospital overtook a minibus and ran into a Toyota 192 motorcar, after the collision both of the vehicles ended up in a nearby trench. The driver of the ambulance , two passengers and two nurses were injured.The ambulance was not carrying any patients at the time and according to eyewitnesses the driver of the ambulance was speeding. The driver has since been taken into police custody as the police launched an investigation.
