Amerindian chiefs to voice their concerns at NTC slated for 25-29th.

Georgetown : Cabinet Secretary Dr. Roger Luncheon announced that a grand-opening of the National Toshaos Conference (NTC)  2011, is set  for July 25 at the Guyana International Confrence Centre, Liliendaal. 

According to Dr. Luncheon, the conference which will run from July 25 to 29, will allow the voices of Amerindians to be heard, as interactions will be held with decision makers.  
“Cabinet ministers would be there in their entirety, as well as heads of state agencies whose remit impact on the lives and welfare of Amerindians. The meeting as before will be historic particularly in terms of those issues that are currently faced in these communities,” he said.

 Issues such as land titling, extension and demarcation are among the priority areas to be discussed during the five-day conference which will bring together Toshaos (Amerindian chief) from the 169 hinterland communities.
