Georgetown : Six inmates and a prison officer were rushed to the Georgetown Hospital this morning after another riot erupted at the Georgetown Prisons at Camp Street this morning.
The inmates have broken out a complete wooden wall of a section of the prison.
There are heavy police and soldier presence around the one block prison.
The inmates are protesting over the bad conditions they are held in.
Yesterday riot and fire killed 17 prisoners from the capital A Section which housed serious and convicted criminals.
Public Security Minister Khemraj Ramjattan and Minister of State Joseph Harmon are presently outside the Camp Street Prison to take a first hand look at the situation.
