Anti Corruption Bill goes to joint select committe

Bridgetown.

The Anti Corruption Bill  has  been refer to a joint select committee of both Houses of Pariliament this development came after former Attorney General Dale Marshall raised a number of objections to elements of the bill and suggested that it be review.

Marshall question why members of statutory corporations and senior officers of trade unions were required to file a declaration of their assets, incomes and liabilities,and the assets their spouses and children under the age of 18.

According to Marshall,while the Opposition accepted the principles of the Bill, it had concerns which he said called for wider consultation.  

The Bill was was introduced in the House of Assembly by Attorney General, Adriel Brathwaite.
