APNU supporters upset PPP meeting at Buxton

Georgetown : People’s Progressive Party (PPP) campaign manager Robert Persaud today said the Partnership for National Unity (APNU) is desperate, afraid and shock at the turn out at the ruling PPP meeting at Buxton last evening.

Persaud explained that a group of people wearing APNU’s T-shirt and plaque cards tried to disrupt the meeting which had an overwhelming support. He said a PNC presidential candidate James Bond was identified as the group’s leader.

Persaud pointed out that Buxton is traditionally known as a strong hold for PNC and the support the PPP is now getting there is a shake up for APNU

Persaud is calling on opposition parties, the Guyana Elections Commission and overseas observer group to condemn this act by APNU.
