Georgetown : Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo had the opportunity yesterday to meet with students from Arapaima Primary School in Region 9.
During his brief engagement with the students at his office, he noted that it gives him great pleasure to have afforded the students the opportunity to come on a five day visit to Georgetown.
Miss Karen Charles, Senior Mistress (ag), engaged the Prime Minister at the recent Ministry of the Presidency's Public Day held in Lethem where she explained the plight the teachers faced in affording the students the opportunity to visit the capital city.
Prime Minister Nagamootoo on the spot pledged his office's support and indicated that a $200,000 donation will be made towards the visit to offset travel and other expenses.
The students, though their visit was brief, entertained the Prime Minister with 'gaff' and sung a few National songs.
