Georgetown: Today at about 3:00am Goumattie Singh and Krishna Persaud of Prashad Nagar, Georgetown; along with taxi-driver Seenauth Ramroop were attacked and robbed by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
The Police said the victims had arrived at Prashad Nagar from the Cheddi Jagan Airport and as they exited the vehicle they were held at gunpoint by the perpetrators who took away a suitcase with clothing and other articles, a quantity of jewellery, 3 cell phones, $5,000.00 US, $200.00 Cdn, $125,00 TT and personal documents and escaped in a waiting motor car.
