Tennerson Bancroft has slapped the Commissioner of Police and the Attorney General with a civil suit.
Bancroft,28, of Factory Avenue, Wildey, St Michael,is claiming damages for pain, suffering and personal injury after he was allegedly beaten by Constable Andrew Bryce during a raid in the Pine, St Michael, by the Police on April 30.
His attorney, Arthur Holder, has lodged a suit in the High Court claiming that Bancroft was unlawfully detained and arrested by Constable Bryce, who then proceeded to assault and maliciously and unlawfully inflict injuries on Bancroft.
No date has been set for the hearing.
